Thank you again for considering Second Harvest Thrift Store for your donation! We know that not everyone is equipped to move large furniture, and we want to make donating easy!

Donation Dropoff:
Donations are accepted Monday thru Saturday, 10a.m. to 5p.m.
We Need:
New and gently used clothing, shoes and accessories & household items such as bedding, drapes, towels, furniture, jewelry, electronics, small kitchen appliances, dinnerware, toys, sporting equip., beauty items, books, music, cars that run and are in drivable condition & more!
Safety Concerns
- Recalled items (toys, electronics, baby products)
- Cribs, car seats (due to expiration and accident history)
- Helmets (bike, motorcycle, sports)
- Damaged electrical items (e.g., frayed cords)
- Hazardous materials (e.g., paint, chemicals)
Hygiene Concerns
- Mattresses or box springs (unless like new)
- Used personal care items (e.g., makeup, toiletries)
- Used underwear or socks (unless new and in packaging)
Legal Concerns
- Weapons (e.g., guns, ammunition)
- Alcohol (e.g., bottles of liquor or wine)
- Pirated or burned media (e.g., copied CDs, DVDs)
Practical Concerns
- Large or broken furniture (e.g., stained sofas, nonfunctional recliners)
- Oversized electronics (e.g., old TVs, non-working phones)
- Damaged or incomplete items (e.g., puzzles, games, toys)
- Exercise equipment (especially heavy or broken items)
Miscellaneous
- Medical equipment (e.g., used CPAP machines, oxygen tanks)
- Live plants or animals
- Open food or supplements
- Used carpeting or rugs (especially with stains or odors)
- Aluminum cans, scrap metal, scrap paper, used greeting cards
- Building materials, gas appliances, propane tanks
- Gasoline cans (used), pianos, organs, furnaces, hot tubs
- Executive desks, armoires, entertainment centers, China cabinets
- Mirrors without frames or backing
- Tires, toilets, trash compactors
- Analog TVs (modern flat screens only)
- Analog computer monitors, encyclopedias, outdated textbooks
- Sheds, greenhouses, sun tanning beds
All Proceeds benefit Harvest Youth Ministries, an Ohio not-for-profit corporation with an IRS approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
All items donated to Harvest Youth Ministries are deductible for income tax purposes at their present fair market value. Internal Revenue Code places the responsibility for estimating the fair marker value upon the donor rather than the agency receiving the gift. (Local Office of Internal Revenue advises that “Fair Market Value” is interpreted as that which a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept)
